Armor

Armor are equippable defensive items provide protection from damage as well as various other bonuses. There are three types of armor, consisting of chestplates, leggings, and boots. Armor can be crafted by using Shards in the pattern of the default Minecraft armor recipes.

Crafted armor pieces must have their quality revealed at the Identifier to receive the benefits. The quality percent dictates how good the bonus stats of the armor pieces are.

Fishing armor will give you bonus stats based on each individual piece. Wearing a full set of matching pieces will give you a full set bonus that gives additional stat boosts. The set bonus is applied once (so for tier 1 of a location set you will receive +10% Faster Fishing and +10 Prospect) and the tier of boost is based on the lowest tier piece of those you have equipped.

Most armor sets are Location-specific, rewarding bonuses for that specific area.

All fishing armor can be upgraded at the Forger, which will upgrade its tier by 1, up to a maximum of 5.

Each fishing location has a unique shard type that can be used to craft location specific armor sets. Each set has the following bonuses.
